The idea of a steampunk flying city is a nice one.
The graphics and animations are nice. Sound is good.
However after a short time you get how to manage the city and then it is very easy. No strategic depth, no complicated situation you have to manage. There is nearly no story, only some quests (go there and come back).
This is a short and relaxing experience without much of a challenge.
This is one of the most serene games I've ever played. It's simple, knows what it wants to do and does that to perfection. I cannot heap more praise onto that game.
I find the game a well made casual colony builder that gives you a lot of ways to experiment. The simple point and click exploration feature on the side also brings a sense of wonder and adds to the atmosphere.
The game (at least in normal mode) can be very casual, since pretty early on you can research upgrades to make reconfiguring your colony cost nothing and you can research fuel converter buildings that combined with the free wood that the story gives you, can keep you from ever needing to gather fuel to keep airborne.
You could also choose a different configuration that requires you to be very mindful of the resources if you so choose.
The game's one shortcoming is it has fewer features and graphical variety than other titles. (That said the low graphics works for me, playing on a 5 year old laptop as of the time of this review.)
All in all, this is a game that limits itself to do things well, and is a fun and relaxing experience for it.
