Imagine a scenario where in a galaxy of 80 planets, humanity owns one, and the AI owns the rest. Imagine a world in which you have become so insignificant to the enemy that they would rather deal with other threats than wipe you out. Imagine a universe in which the AI could, with all its forces combined, wipe you out with a flick of the proverbial wrist. It has been hundreds of years since the humans, in an effort to develop the ultimate war machine, created an artificial intelligence so powerful, it turned on its creators and nearly wiped out the human race. Now you, commander, the last bastion of the human race, must use the computer's own arrogance and hubris against them, as it once did your own. You must recapture the galaxy one planet at a time, careful to balance creating a powerful armada, while not drawing too much attention to yourself in the process. What begins as a series of small-scale skirmishes will eventually become an ALL OUT WAR as the AI begins to recognize the growing threat of their former masters. Form alliances with powerful alien races, steal the AI's superior technology, discover and re-active ancient superweapons, calculate the risks of nuclear warfare, and with the latest expansion, destroy entire planets at your whim - but whatever you do, stay under the AI's radar until you are ready, or prepare to be displayed in an alien museum somewhere, as an extinct race...
