AOW4 is Amazing
AOW4 is Amazing. I've been playing AOW3 and AOW Planetfall and the new game is very good. I only played singleplayer and no crashes so far on my RTX 3060 Ti GPU. Looking forward to the 4 DLCs. I hope here in GOG we get the Expansion pass as well.

The sorrows of playing an ice mage
This is probably high level nitpicking, so take it with a grain of salt. The game itself seems to be quite nice from what I have seen so far. But honestly, the magic system is frustrating for me. I'm always trying to RPG play an ice/water mage in the Age of Wonder series, combined with Vikings/Elves adapted to arctic environment. Think of Frozen, Queen Elsa, Marshmallow etc. Somehow, if I want to play an ice mage, I'm lumped with shadow magic and raising undead. That's... not the RPG theme I want to play as at all. I'm a bit thorn between giving the game a 3 or a 4. It seems nice & the magic system is something different than the usual "elemental" magics. But I'll probably have to play a completely different faction than I intended.

Age of DLC. Don't bother.
This release is a joke. You'll likely need all the DLC for this game to ever be worth it. There is no campaign either from what I've seen. I've only played a couple of minutes before closing. Looks horrible, and from what I've heard, the AI is pretty terrible as well. Play Age of Wonders 3, don't bother with this. It might get better once they release all the DLC, but don't hold your breath for that.
