Recruit legendary heroes, equip them with magical weapons, and let them lead your armies into battle. Conquer your enemies using the detailed 3D turn-based Tactical Combat System and become a master tactician. Crush city defenses and learn to use flanking and master your army’s hundreds of abilities.

Multiplayer notice: Currently, the multiplayer options available are: Hotseat, multiplayer over VPN, Play by Email and Online Multiplayer. All modes except Hotseat require a unique CD key, which will be located in your game shelf (open your library via website → select the game → More → Serial Keys), and an on-line account with Triumph Studios.

In-depth systems
The systems are very deep and pleasant to explore, but thats just it, they are too deep. Its tough to peel back the layers on this game, but once you do you'll find something to enjoy. The turn based battles can get pretty long too. Recommended for strategy game fans, but you have to have the patience.

One of all-time favourites
Absolutely brilliant game. If you like smart and full of content games - just try it. Very important thing is that developers really like that game and cares about it (Patches and DLCs). P.S. Sorry for my english.

great game
great game... love everything about it except that theres no lan DRM free... i was hoping to buy this game for me and my gf to play together on different comptuers as she doesnt like hot seat games... and now i find out thats not possible... itd nice if it was listed on here this isnt a completely DRM free game

Still best of its subgenre
Every game that mixes tactical battles and a strategic overmap has the same core problem: if that tactical battle is challenging, you've failed at the strategy part, and vice versa. But at least within this narrow subgenre, AoWIII is still the best game available, even years after release.
