Good game but somehow difficult to play
It is a good game i got for free (on gog) but it can be difficult to play when you begin it. Nonetheless, even if the textures are half-baked (like some users said), it's still good.

Free on GOG
The music is very relaxing to listen to but the learning curve is very steep. I would not reccomend this as a casual game as it takes considerable practice to get remotely good at this game with a keyboard. To me the controls feel very finiky and it is very difficult to perform the main point of the game; drifting. The tutorial was not helpful in explaining how to contol the vehical as i feel it amounted to "sink or swim kid"

Incredibly strange physics
This game does absolutely nothing to make it easy- auto transmission, easy difficulty, and you still will end up hitting walls 90% of the time because the cars accelerate (and decelerate) incredibly slow. Brakes and handbrake work great, but to a fault- they stop so hard that you'll pretty much just end a drift if you try using them partway through. I come from a ton of drifting experience in the forza series (motorsport and horizon) and this game manages to feel neither like a sim nor an arcade. It's too slippery to be a sim, but the power mechanics don't work like an arcade. Feels like you're trying to get a 150hp beater to hit some angles on ice. It's visually appealing and it's not too boring I guess. Lost interest after 30 minutes and don't know if I would bother playing again.

Not for everyone
Disclaimer : I received the game for free during a promotion. The game offers beautiful yet simple artstyle with compelling soundtrack. On the other hand the game mechanics itself are quite hard to master and for newcomer may seem too hard. Definitely steep learning curve without proper tutorial may turn some people away but if you endure you will have your share of fun.

Believe it or not...
I consider this game one of the best ''Zen'' example in videogaming (and only reason I'm giving three stars. If not, It'd be worth 2 at best). Absolute drift is all about... drifting. no embellishments, no strange mechanics. Just drifting, and it does an acceptable job at that (provided that you play with a controller). But above all, it's all about mastering the curve, so to speak. Nothing else matters, that was clearly the intention of the devs. So, If you are looking for something exciting... this isn't the game for you. If you're looking for an enlightenment sense of fulfilment after finally landing that particular difficult drift.. welp, you just found your game.
