Standard easy puzzles for the genre, the story is bland at this point, but what is a real letdown is how it is delivered. Games like this live or die by the dialogue, this one fails to deliver.
I was surprised when i noticed that this is an indie title; it doesn't show (in a good way). The graphics are gorgeous, voice-acting good, I never encountered any game-breaking bugs and the game is solid quality-wise. To sum it up, this is a quality production. Yes, there are some minor bugs, but they didn't detract from the experience for me. The puzzles are often on the easy side, but that is quite OK. There are a few harder ones as well.
So why only 3 stars?
I basically have 2 gripes with the game. Firstly, it seems that you spend too much time watching animations an cutscenes. When experimenting with the puzzles I often found myself clicking and then having to wait 10s for an animation where the game character walked across the screen and attempted an action. A speed setting where you could increase the animation speed would have been much appreciated.
Secondly, the story i very environmentalist to the point where it gets a bit preachy. I found it a bit offputting, but that's my personal preference. If you're into Greta Thunberg and climate alarmism, this is made for you. For me, it's a solid point-and-click that is definitely worth the time playing but nothing to get too excited about.
This game has all the hallmarks of a Daedalic adventure game. Fantastic artwork and music, interesting and original setting, average puzzle design and absolutely horrendous transtation and voice work. It never seizes to amaze me how terrible the translation of Daedelic games are. It's as if it's just passed through google translate, and the english voice work is just bafflingly bad. Occasionally the voice over is quite nice albeit a bit stale, but as soon as two characters are interacting it's like listening to two robots. I refuse to believe there was any direction involved. This sounds like the actors were just fed one line after the other and just spoke them back. No human interacts like this. The broken english makes it even more difficult to enjoy. It really ruins the whole experience for me. Turning off voices is possible, and I strongly recommend doing so.
With voices off it's quite an enjoyable adventure game, if you can get past the terrible translation.
The idea is good, most puzzles as well but the game is technically not very good and it has a couple of game breaking bugs. The save system stops working towards the end of the game and with that done all you can do when a character gets stuck on screen is go way way back and try again.
The story and graphics are good but the game contains several bugs and voice acting is poor. Some puzzles are illogical or hard to solve just because there is no clue on how to solve them. I would recommend this game only if you can get a big purchase discount.
