I love cats so I thought I'd give this a go, not knowing what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised at how relaxing yet immersive it is. I like how you have to collect a certain number of cats to unlock new rooms. Finding other hidden items to unlock other bonuses is a cool feature too. I also like the fact that a story was implemented into it, and the final boss gives the player a sense of completion.
The Chrono Trigger of Cat-finding games.
Gameplay- I Wanna to be the Guy meets Where's Waldo (Waldo is cat, in this case)
Story - Planescape Torment meets Firewatch (If the nameless one was a cat and if you replace fire with cats)
Graphics- Does for the cat-finding genre what Spirits Within did for FF.
Controls - Sometimes my daughter clicks on cats and other times, very close to them. Pretty seamless.
Conclusion-Good luck finding the rarest cat of them all, it was programmed by cat artisans who work exclusively in the medium of cats.
Very chill and cute hidden object featuring cats, all sorts of cats. It includes an arcade mode for more cat finding after the (brief but fun) mansion campaign. I very much recommend the game, which has a sweet art style and cute winky-wink story.
A Castle Full of Cats may not be the most groundbreaking game, but if a short, fun casual game is what you are looking for, this game delivers.
The game is technically a hidden object game, but there are several side quests and other rabbit holes to fall down. The control mechanisms are simple and easy to work, and the gaming experience is smooth and polished overall. One nice feature is the ability to return to the game without losing progress after you have beaten it. You can always return and keep searching for any cats you haven't found.
There is no way to die in this A Castle Full of Cats, and as long as you are willing to keep poking around, if you have okay eyesight, the ability to click a mouse, and the ability to work under mild time pressure for one boss fight you should be able to complete the game
The game is appropriate for all ages and makes a good distraction for children or adults.
My one real quibble with the game is that it is a bit light on story.
