When redeeming Amazon Prime releases, have it show up as owned in the store section.
Three times for luck. Usually redeemed games show, except for one time. It redeemed and then is simply was not added. Account refresh tried :-/ It seems better than couple of years, but hey, I don't judge
I second this
+1 on this. so annoying that this is still a problem
As a long-time supporter of GOG's anti-DRM stance, I am honestly shocked that something as basic as having Amazon Prime redeemed games automatically show up as 'owned' in the store section isn’t a thing yet. GOG has always prided itself on giving users full ownership and control over their libraries, so why is this such a hassle? Having to manually track and manage Amazon Prime games separately just feels like a step backward. If GOG is truly committed to a DRM-free experience, then why not make this simple change? It’s a basic feature that aligns perfectly with the values GOG champions, and not having it only makes things more frustrating for loyal customers like myself.
GOG needs to fix this issue seriously. Many people can get confused when repurchasing games already added to the cart. Also, some games redeemed with Prime Gaming DO NOT GET UPDATES from the game preservation program, as examples the video games "Fallout (1997)" and "Fallout New Vegas" are not updated with the patch released on November 13, 2024.
Same thing. It's bothersome because when I browse the GOG store, I see games I have in my library click on them, go to purchase, but a hunch stops me. I go to my library, and there it is. Seriously, GOG needs to fix this thing
This is just a small part of the massive GOG packaging problem. Some amazon games do get marked as owned. Some do not. It really depends on whether the the game is being sold directly or via a package.
Quake 4 and all affected games are being sold as Packages (yes some games are being sold via single-item packages): www.gogdb.org/products?search=Quake+4
Now all Amazon giveaways are stored in separate packages to make sales data easier to manage.
GOG does not mark indirectly-acquired packages as owned and that is the problem here.
If Quake 4 game was sold directly, it would have been marked as owned.
OR
If GOG made indirectly acquired packages marked as owned too, it would solve Amazon, plus loads of other problems. I vote for the latter.
GOG is yet to realise that the sooner they can introduce features that helps us sort through the store, the more we can see the games we really want to purchase. The fact that there isn't an ignore button for all these years, just goes to show GOG is out of touch with their customer base imo. This could temporarily solve the problem at least.
Same here. I was missing Fallout Tactics in my library and I couldn't help contacting support a couple of days ago. I wonder if they'll ever answer.
I also support this.
Seconding this as well. There are more cases of this also outside Amazon Prime.
I also noticed this, and it is indeed really confusing. I would see something like Morrowind in the store and it doesn't say that it's in my library, so I check to see if it's been removed or something. It hasn't, thankfully, but still, confusing.
I second this.
Once again seconding this. I really like this site but I own multiple games from the Amazon prime gaming service and when I am looking at the games for sale, it gets really confusing sometimes when I see a game I KNOW I own but it shows I don't and it prevents me from filtering out my owned games when looking at whats for sale.
