The brake to the evolution of the game under Linux comes from the developers,
he thinks sales are unprofitable!
Linux players remain a minority today, because there is a lack of games!
To fix this problem, Gog could help all changed

_ more people are using Linux than we think!
Steam early 2016 2%
2013 65 million Linux users 0.98%
2015 125 million Linux users 0.91%.
The number of Linux users is increasing from 600,000 to 1,200,000 in two years.
The Humble-Bundle store published, Linux accounts for 4.7% of purchases and about 7% of payments.

_Developers now almost systematically play their games on Windows and Mac
However, it is enough to develop natively under Linux, and one has directly a product Windows, Linux and Mac.
There is less work and the 3 are already natively managed.
Linux sales reach a break-even point higher than the costs of porting.
Kona, Overgrowth, Eldritch, Dustforce ...
And if the game is native Linux with the use of OpenGL, the performances are much better than Windows with Direct3D.

_ One theory explains that Linux users prefer to buy from GOG, it avoid Steam and Humble-Bundle.
For me it’s true; GOG 71 Steam 0 Humble 0.
But without the GOG team it’s hard to prove.
Publishing Linux sales statistics can change the vision of developers!
And for you, it’s more sales, more profit!
thank you.

Comment burried. Unhide. .

Agreed. I may buy a lot of Windows games (over 1500 games purchased on GOG alone), but all my gaming is done on my Linux machine, either natively or via Wine.
