Would like installers and games to continue to work on Windows 7 as long as possible. I'm referring mainly to older games of course, not ones never designed for Windows 7, although anything that can be done to make games work on Windows 7 is much appreciated.

Indeed I would like to see some declaration from GOG that games that works on Windows 7 right now will not lose this support in the future. Especially when it comes to standalone offline installers - if they stop supporting Windows 7 at some point I wish that W7 version gonna stay avaiable to download in our library. Right now we can download only up to date offline installers and I back them up at external drive but I fear that I may delete some W7 installer and won't be able to install said game on W7 pc anymore. The same problem I have with remastered versions of the game but this is even more important. When it comes to Galaxy I know that from the beginning it didn't support W7 officially, but... unofficially it still works fine. Keep it up like that as long as possible and don't let it install update if it gonna make Galaxy unusable at all. I use Galaxy only for downloading installers and extras but it's great tool for that after all and I wish it stays like that.

Since Steam, Ubi and other companies slowly drop Windows 7 support I hope that GOG gonna stay old and good as usual. :)

Seconded. People who prefer GOG because they're wary of DRM are likely to also be wary of the spyware in later Windows versions.
