Dear GOG, I like to buy games here and I wish to keep supporting you instead of steam. But I have to demand an option to get the original game files next to the ones with your installer. What am I going to do in 10 years after you bankrupt, I will want to pay my game and I will only have it with your installer that is not optimized for the newest windows? Just to give an example. I definitely don't like to pay for something temporary and the games I get from you are dependant on your existence and continuous support. Like this I have to admit that my will to purchase is getting weaker and weaker.

In addition, there are an increasing number of cases where GOG's changes either limit the game (e.g. removal of the original .exe file for games bundled with ScummVM denying purchasers the option of using DOSBox instead) or break the game on older systems (GOG's version of winmm.dll on Quake 2 or the increasing number of offline games bundled with galaxy.dll).
Having the original game files would allow customers to bypass any problems with GOG's changes.
