I have a gaming PC I built that would have been awesome in 1996. It's a Pentium233mmx with a Voodoo 3d accelerator. Getting old games from GOG to run on it can be hit or miss, and some games are so heavily modified to run on modern hardware, they won't run on the original hardware at all anymore. I would love to be able to grab the ISO for something like POD, burn it to a CD, then pop it into the 4x cd rom drive of my beige monster and play it the way it was meant to be played.
+100With the ambiguous definition of DRM at GOG as of late, plus the retroactive content removal or "updates" not being skipable anymore, we NEED to preserve the original files intact.Gog has gone back in more than one features it advertized as "consumer-friendly" perks, ages ago...
