Allow users to click if they would like email notification when someone has posted or replied to a topic. Users could either select, in settings, to use this as a blanket option, or click to activate (or deactivate) it for any topics in a forum.

This has been on here a long time, I wish it had a lot more votes... I tire of bookmarking forum pages that I want to see if I get replies to.

I was convinced that I either couldn't find the option or was doing something wrong. We definitely need the ability to get email notifications when someone replies to our forum posts, or to forum posts we comment on or select to "watch".

This is absolutely necessary. I sometimes forget about where and what I have written. There is not even a notification on the website.

Seconded! Every forum seems to have this functionality, and I've grown to rely on being sent a notification when someone replied. Just found out a post I left was replied on the same day, didn't know until I visited again today... Getting those notifications will obviously help increase forum usage.
