Since this is Good Old Games, add content based emulated games or ported games from other older platforms. For example Amiga OS.

Piko interactive, the company known for selling Emulated Console Games on Steam had acquired the Bleem! brand name from David Herpolsheimer, former president of the Bleem company. And it seems that Bleem! will come back, but as an online store for selling Emulated (Console) Games:

There is currently a forum topic on the RetroArch forum on Steam with a list of Emulators / Emulated (Console) Games that are being sold on Steam (or somewhere else):

The problem with emulation is its legality
You need to own the original of the game you want to emulate (and most of the time, the console too, since its bios is copyrighted too)
For the cases where you don't, the intellectual property should be the same kind as for songs, something like 70 years (in france at least) after the artist's death... we're in 2021, which means we could only emulate games whose creators died before 1951 (for reference, pong was created in 1972, and if its creator died from COVID today we shouldn't be able to emulate it before 2091... that is, if pong's rights aren't considered as atari's property)
So... selling emulated games ? nope.

Or.... maybe... to make it 100% legal... gog "could" try to contact the rights-holders of the original games to be allowed to sell the original roms as dematerialized games... but... from how expensive some ports are, they will probably be greedy as hell, and I doubt you'd like to pay 5 to 10$ for amstrad's Sapiens (1986)

This would really open up the library of old games and what others consider abandonware, but companies like Nintendo still tenaciously hold on to the rights to. If this were to happen I'd regularly shop for and buy those games here on GOG.
