sotisopa For instance, I already own Grim Dawn-game wo any DLCs, however Grim Dawn Definitive Edition costs the exactly same whether the basegame is owned or not. Thus I would see it would be fair to deduct the already owned items from the total price
kanifani I think the regular approach is to just remove the already owned items' current (/discounted) price from the bundle price. But you don't even have to do a full 100% compensation, you could compensate just 75%, for example. The main issue is that the user doesn't want to completely forfeit the prior purchases. It's not so much about the money, it's about the wasted purchase.
In my case, I've been keeping tabs on the Trine Ultimate Collection, which includes games 1-4. But I already have 1 and 2. And seems like he discounted bundle is only 0.50€ cheaper than if I bought 3 and 4 separately. I just can't rationalize buying that. Waiting for Trine 5 to join the bundle with a hopefully a better overall discount, or for GOG to add some kind of compensation.

GOG should deduct the main game cost from the bundle like Steam
Akylen I feel that this is really important if they want to get extra money from gamers. I can either buy the definitive/complete editions with the discount if I have the main game, or don't buy at all. Steams does this, and unfortunately I will give my money to then when this happens, until GOG decides to change.
