It seem to have collected a great number of suggestions for improvements, gathered a fair bit of spam and a few dozen duplicates.

Personally, I think it just needs a bit of a push to be more organised. Rather than just see which wishes were already popular in the last week, make it easier for us to see different wishes. Let us click to Vote, Ignore or choose "Not Now" for wishes, and then hide them from the list so we can see something new.

If people see more wishes, more of the duplicates and spam can be flagged and deleted. The list will be mor easily tidied by the community and will work better. If it's not too much trouble then let us follow wishes and have notifications for replies.

Add a few checks for duplicates when people submit wishes. Make them look through a list of similarly titled wishes before they can submit. IIRC stackexchange already has a system like this and it works for them.

You could also partner with MobyGames or Wikipedia to link wishes to descriptions and screenshots automatically.

Once the wishlist is working just a little better you'll be able to publicize it much more and draw more people to the site.
