bashams Have a check box or drop down that lets users hide games that are already purchased from GOG. This would make looking for games to buy much easier.

Hakuso3 Not only games I own elsewhere, which I may want to get again here if they are worth keeping or just hide as irrelevant if I didn't like it and will never play the game again, but let me hide the DLC that is part of an ultimate edition I bought, or the "complete" version of something I bought all the DLC for.
actualwave marking and hiding owned games are two different features, hiding is important for me -- marking not so

Yojimbo_129 Adding to this. It's just common sense! Also the wishlist. We can already review our wishlist to see what's discounted we don't need those amongst the store page either.
Odonnell435 I feel the same way as binn05 whenever there is a large seasonal sale going on. Makes it a chore to look for new titles to add to my library when I have to rummage through titles I ALREADY own.

Orchid_Mantis You are definitely loosing potential sales from me GOG, it makes looking through some large sales bloated with 50+ pages when I keep seeing games I've already bought. Making my eyes gloss over games I could have bought otherwise. It's great we can hide DLCs, we should be able to hide owned games.

Halpha 600+ games in library. Near impossible to find new/old little gems these days. I still buy, but less then I could because of not being able to hide owned games. I thought you wanted to make some money of us GOG? Cutting into your own profits here...
MarieMint +1. I have big collection and now I buy much less due to this reason. We need functions like in Augmented Steam browser plugin for Steam - colouring/hiding of owned/not interested games/DLCs. Now GOG is rather unusable for people with big collections. GOG, you can change it, but it should be done quickly.
EazyCheeze1978 Everything that people have said this past year, I echo. Except for liquidBass - while my collection is pretty huge, I doubt I would ever stop buying games for that reason. Still, this would be an AMAZING feature to have. And extend it to other game platforms (Steam, Origin etc.) as well.

Blackmage2A My collection of games owned is big enough that adding this feature would greatly improve my chances of finding and buying new games.
arcio I have not seen games marked "in library" on the store's website <a href=""https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=popularity"" class="light_un" target="_blank">"https://www.gog.com/games?page=1&sort=popularity"</a> for over a month. The "in library" bar is not shown. I have to go to the game page to see it.

DHLF If I were able to *hide* my already owned games.. I would have bought many more games, too!
But I get always too tired by (being forced) to read through the game list "spammed" with already owned games..
Its so annoying being forced to look closely to find the little "already owned" sign.
At LEAST, PLEASE darken already owned games more, this could help a lot(for a start).
coze adding my +1 for this. really miss this feature. cant understand why its not already there, as there IS a marker which marks the games in the library.
Raydell Sadly, the workaround I posted below is broken since GOG's recent site revamp. I wrote a tampermonkey script to achieve the same result, will see if I can find a way to share it. But honestly GOG, this needs to be a native feature.
Raydell Love how formatted text ends up becoming garbled here due to a lack of html support. Ah well, the workaround I meant to post was: Get the Stylus browser extension, visit userstyles.org and search for Hide Owned Raydell. Install and enjoy hidden owned games during sales, in searches, etc.
Raydell Agreed, this feature is sorely needed by those of us with many games.
I got so annoyed by this during the current sale that I looked into the site code and ended up writing some browser styles for the Stylus and Stylish extensions (for Chrome and Firefox) which hide owned games:
This one hides owned games completely, so they don't show up: userstyles.org/styles/163965/hide-owned-gog-no-display-by-raydell
The other one darkens owned games so they still show up but are far less visible: userstyles.org/styles/163966/hide-owned-gog-darken-by-raydell

TheDeliveryBoy Add this and, like someone else said, add "Ignore this game" option. Some games I don't want to see on my lists because they just waste my time while I have to fly over them since I know I'm never going to buy them.
binn05 Come on guys, that is not a hard one to do. I can hide games in my gog galaxy library, let me hide games outside my library too :D
turgot would be nice if
1. could hide (or sort to end of list) a game even it is not owned: i know that i will never buy it, i dont want to see it on first page
2. be able (not always but some times) to see games i bought but this game in friends wish list
BryanS When this feature was on the old site, i used it a lot to look for new stuff to add to the wishlist. It would be nice to see it return. Searching the catalog for new stuff would be so much faster if it would return.
AndreyTeteria It would be so much useful during "Monstrous" sales when there are hundreds of games discounted and I own most of them. So it can be a little bit hard to crawl through 10-20 pages listing discounted games to spot what else can I add to my collection.

Being able to add to your GOG account all the games you already have through other gaming platforms or physical install media, AND having them default option filtered out of the games to buy list here on GOG, would be a great improvement.

ZMacZ if you make the tag field like 8 bytes long, you'd have plenty of filtering options for anyone..and once that's done, you can still assign stuff to it..

give the tag a bit mask, so the browser will figure out whether or not to display it..
The tag woudl be like "ONS" or "ons", with the fact that it's caps or not
saying what you want from it..
"o" = not owned..
"O" = owned..
"N" = Never wants to buy this..(hide)
"n" = Show this..no opinion yet..
"S" = On SALE...
"s" = Not on sale..
the nice thing about this, you can add multiple categories,
with just one tag..
(and it's scalable..)
Once the routine to show or not is up and running, you can even add
other tags (user tags maybe ? or personal user rating ?)
Then the filter would be awesome..

I got 550+ games now..and a lot of it I just keep looking up..
It would also be less time consuming for the server..
Would also be nice to have a button that says "I'm never gonna buy this (hide)"
Games you can scratch off that way will save you time looking them up again and again and again..
Yeah..the browser page can use some of that stuff..REALLY !!
So..
1) A hide for anything that you already own..
(so it won't show on the sales page, unless specifically searched for..)
2) A hide tag for stuff ur never gonna buy, cuz simply it doesn't interest..
Makes it much easier to shop for stuff..
(so in that case you have to look it up once, and once you've done that you can make a decision to never look at it again..)
Ickis99 The summer sale is a real pain without this feature. Why is it such a problem to add a simple "Hide owned games" checkbox?

mattymuc I own almost the complete GOG catalog and it's so bad that I can't hide the games I already own!
fisk0 This used to be on GOG, but disappeared in the previous redesign (the one in 2012 or so, with the monks). I miss this feature.
listentoreason I own maybe a third or a half of the catalog already... not being able to filter out the owned games makes it harder to browse special offers and find those I might still be interested in buying.
soulroar Would be nice to use the wishlist for games I really want, instead I use it for that and to keep track of the few games that I haven't managed to get yet, even if they are only on there to see what else I might get as there isn't an easy way to do this yet.
