But how to play (from original CD) on Windows 11?
On Win10 game oddly used to say that theres no CD and refused to run whatever i do.
On Win11 it does nothing at all, compatibility modes or DGvoodoo are uselees, no reaction.
Is there a way to play Zax on W11 other than run virtual old PC with PCem or othe emulator?
Wottie Lovely game that someone once called "what Diablo should have been". Also very forward-compatible :) - I bought it in 2002, I think, and I ran it on Win XP. It still runs fine on my Win 10. And every single time I use that 20+ year old CD I'm afraid that it will give up on me. Pretty please, GOG, save this game for the future generations!

JankJason I have and explained the problem with this. 800x600 is the highest hardcoded resolution the game supports and on bigger screens it just looks too blury.
Leviathan1990 Regarding resolution issues, why dont you install DXWND? Its a free program... It allows you to run old games on 64 bit version of windows in full/widescreen...
JankJason The problem with the game is the resolution, the bigger it's stretched on screen the more blurred out and awful the graphics start to look, they unfortunately weren't designed with higher resolutions than 800x600 in mind.

Wottie Still one of my most favorite shooters ever. Very well balanced gameplay, nice humor, and a predictable yet nice (and even a bit heartwarming) story. It's such a pity that they don't make games like this anymore.

An isometric action/adventure game with a slight action RPG feeling. Full of space-funky music and humour. Dusted the box and installed it yesterday on windows 7 60 bits, it works like a charm with no tweak or compatibility setting needed. I just wish it could be played in superior resolution to 800x600. This game MUST make its way on GOG!
