The Dig completed
EDIT : I ended up finding: as I use the "Wireless all-in-one keybord TK820" from Logitech, I had to disable the "key F advanced" mode.
Hooray! Now I just play my favorite games.
Hello everyone,
This game is one of my favorite. "Des portes ! Encore des portes ! Toujours des portes !" (in the French version ) remain in my memory
yesterday I bought a pack on GOG.com ten games Lucas Art (Sam & Max: Hit the Road, The Dig, Loom, Afterlife, etc ...). Games obviously rotate with Scumm.
The problem I face is that to access the game menu, you must press the F5 key. Only this key, Windows 8 (my OS) opens the paramettres pane to the right of the screen. I find myself on the desk with the console (I think that's the name) opened. Unable to access the menu or to make a backup of my party, or to remove subtitle, or anything.
I tried a variety of key combinations but nothing happens.
If someone has an idea or it's ever been faced with this problem, his opinion will be welcome.
Thank you.
Sotty for my "Google Translate English"
I've been hoping in the recent years that a re-release would bring with it an acquisition of the original CGI work from Industrial Light & Magic. The visuals and sound of the game are absolutely amazing but 1995 CD-ROM video compression really doesn't hold up. If the re-release of Grim Fandango has taught us something it is possible to gather up some of the original assets (although it may be difficult). I would love to see the opening cutscene in an uncompressed format. I beg anyone who can to please make it happen. 20th anniversary edition anyone? :D
one of my all time favorite adventure games, hopefully with the Lucasarts push it isn't far off
epic game
Correct me, but I think that in the first place Steven Spielberg planned this to be a movie. However, if you have the CD you can still make it run in a DosBox (use that of any other dos based GOG game and mofiy autoexec.bat and command.com accordinlgly), but I would buy it again any time for a reasonable price here on GOG.
I would buy it if the Soundtrack would be included.
Played this a while back. Great point and click game. Very atmospheric with beautiful alien scenery. Right from the beginning it really draws you in. Great story that goes well all the way. FYI they also made a book based on this game.
Haven't played it but have always wanted to
Pretty good music! Voted.
An awesome game and soundtrack!
This game is fantastic. The visual style, music, and atmosphere really make it.
I only just realized that you can, indeed, buy it on Steam for $4.99. I already have the physical edition having played it years ago but I would definitely buy it if GOG were to include it in its catalogue. It's a pity this game is so overlooked. It was hard at times, true, but it was worth it.
Hear hear!
You can get The Dig, Loom and 2 Indiana Jones games in 1 pack on Steam for $9.99, but I'd much rather have it on GOG.com!!!
Add this one. Mr. GOG will stand to benefit from its repeated sales. The original is not compatible with Win7. Know that LucasArts has passed into legend since Disney killed it. It may be that GOG cannot secure the rights to it yet. Please try Mr. GOG.
I loved playing this game. I remember being very immersed in the story and just loved exploring the alien land and getting all the machines working again. I hope GOG can get it so I can live those memories yet again!
The Dig is one of my favorite games. Would buy it in an instant.
www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGzX_7ZN8_UPlease add this awesome game,I would so much love to play it again!
LucasArts were resently acquired by Disney. "According to a company representative, /...for the time being all projects are business as usual. We are excited about all the possibilities that Disney brings.\" lol, one can only hope/dream!

Good game need to add to gog. Will buy
Wish this one had more votes, it's such a great game!
Great game, would love to play it again!
Please GoG, add this gem to the list! It's an instant buy! ;)
George Lucas ruins everything.
God damn it I want this game added. The story is fantastic and the alien environments are extremely well done. The puzzles do a great job of making the world feel as alien as it looks.
i didn't play it these times .. now is the chance !!
Yes pls, watched my sister play thru it one night back in the day was blown away. must play for myself!
This is probably the best adventure game I ever played. The story and the characters were incredible! Its pity it is largely unknown.
I have played this and had both the "good" ending and the "twist" to the ending. I love this game and can't wait to see if it gets added to GoGs list. Pain the the butt at time but still fun to play.
Never played this one, but I'm getting into all the old adventure games (mainly from Sierra and LucasArts). Would love to play this.
