AFAIC, they can get rid of every Stronghold game except the first one and this one, that's all I need on GOG

Well apparently they meant every classic Stronghold game except Stronghold 2. So given that Stronghold Crusader 2 was initially released after Stronghold 2 and made it to GOG I find it unlikely that they will release Stronghold 2 here.
