Starsector
Have already bought it directly form the developer's site, and my only complaint about the game is that it's written in Java. But having it on GOG would give the game a lot more exposure and more people playing the game means more potential modders making mods for it.
As a point for the games I like I buy them directly from the developer's site and again on GOG, Like I have with Rimworld, even though I was given a free Steam key for buying Rimworld from their site.
To chyba rekord ile czasu gra może być we wczesnym dostępie ;)
Why is this not added yet?
Please pick this up!!
Come on add it!
i think this would be a good get for GOG, especially to beat Steam to the punch
I watched a series of gameplay videos on YouTube and it was quite fun watch, even when the guy lost his 3 main carge ships since he forgot to save. But he was a good sport, didn't get mad and kept going. I'm seriously tempted to buy the game from the site, but I'll wait a bit more to see if it will have a GOG release. Might seem silly to some, but I prefer to limit how often I use my CC online.
Well, the game is technically already available DRM free on their site so I don't get the point of this suggestion...
Definitly needs to be on here.
We also need a 3D game that plays like it.
This looks pretty cool, I would like to see this on gog
Cant wait to see this game at steam
This game looks like Kenshi in space, I bet I'd love it.
As long as the outdated OpenGL caused stutter gets fixed for AMD GPUs...
Please add it to gog.com.
Again, why isn't this game available here?
would pay dearly for this be on GOG or Steam, its a game that you keep playing and never gets old.
From what i could read on their forums and on their official "Starsector" site, the devs working want to fully complete the game before putting it on any selling platfrom... regardless, i'll be more than happy to pay even full prise for their product : it seems very inventive, refreashing, and a passionate work.
Really hope this game is considered for release on GOG.
Really want to buy it on GOG with cloud saves feature.
Saw the review on Sseth's channel, cant buy it, very sad, put this game on gog.
Saw the review on Sseth's channel and would pay dearly for this be on GOG or Steam.
Would buy this game on GOG or Steam!
HYPE HYPE HYPE HYPE xd
I watch Sseth too
I dont know why this game was not popular before, but Sseth did a miracle here. Looking for an GOG version for the final release (hopefully before we all die)
The ships looks like ships from Distant Worlds Universe.
I would buy the hell out of this game!
Like a 2D X3. Only, good. Deserves better discoverability.
Hey hey people
I'd buy this game in a heartbeat if it was made available through GOG.
I would buy it on gog if it was avaliable. This game is really good.
Would buy it a second time if it was on GOG!
Would love to have this here, it looks amazing!
Saw the Sseth video, would love to see this here
I'd buy this if it was available.
Saw this one in a Sseth video, and this does indeed look like a game I'd buy, especially here on GOG www.youtube.com/watch?v=acqpulP1hLo
This really ought to be available on major vendors -- quite the game.
Even more awesome now with the added exploration and planet colonization. After building your own colony you can build your own ship foundry to build your own fleets providing you can find the appropriate blueprints. Can't believe it has been nearly 4 years since my last comment; still my opinion on this game has only improved.
0.9a current, but 0.9.1a will drop any day now...
Very very happy with this space exploration game which is available for mac/linux/windows at fractalsoftworks. Space captain of a growing fleet, establishing and managing colonies. Tough; intricate; deep.
This game is worth it. Go to the developers website to get it. Currently game is at 0.8.1a RC8. Worth the 15 bucks I paid for it.
Just discovered this. It looks like a better alternative to SPAZ (Space Pirates and Zombies). Yes please!
When it comes to space strategy games i'm very picky. The first space strategy game I remember being hooked on was Ascendancy (1995). I also have fond memories of playing the game Stars!, but the game that I still go back to and have the most fond memories of is Master of Orion 2.
Since then i've been waiting for a space game with the same level of tactical combat and ship customization and many have failed to leave me hooked:
Pax Imperia - Eminent Domain, Galactic Civilizations II, Master of Orion III, Sins of a Solare Empire and others never could in my opinion capture the enjoyment that I had with Master of Orion II.
Space Rangers 2 came onto my radar several years ago and this russian developer stunned me with this masterpiece it crafted. So I didn't expect to be surprised when I finally got around to playing Starsector.
When I bought the game, I got immediate access to an early alpha and to be honest I was not impressed. It was only about a year later when I decided to give the latest alpha build a try that I found myself completely addicted to this game.
This game has that special something that says "Just one more turn"; although in my case it is more "Just let me try one more ship customization".
This game has some of the most addictively enjoyable tactical combat that I have ever experienced in a spaceship strategy game. I don't normally like real-time combat, but this game has a decent AI that takes over the combat for you, but allows you to quickly jump in and make some corrections if need be; or simply to take over completely.
Having unlimited customization can be fun, but this game adds a much deeper tactical layer by providing you with completely unique ship designs of multiple classess (fighters, frigates, destroyers, cruisers and battleships); each with their own strengths and weaknessess as well as their own unique special ability.
I probably play the ship battle simulator more than the game, because customizing your ships and trying new combinations of loadouts is so incredibly addictive; especially when you finally stumble upon a decent configuration that will allow you tiny agile frigate to take down a heavily armed destroyer.
Seriously amazing combat engine. It unfortunately though suffers from a lack of direction in the campaign itself, but the developer is very well aware of this and is working to make the out of combat experience an enjoyable affair as well.
This game looks like a, "shut up and take my money," if I've ever seen one! I hope GOG.com makes a deal quick and announces it- otherwise I'll have to lock it in elsewhere and get in on the author's beta discount. Looks fantastic.
Very, very promising indeed to fans of this genre. It looks like someone mashed up SPAZ (Space Pirates and Zombies) and Star Control 2 with a sprinkle of FTL- then cranked the visual scale up to 11 and broke off the knob.
