I owned this game for years, and I actually kept an out of date laptop around to play it and a few other old gems, until the laptop and the games were stolen in a break in years ago. I didn't think I'd ever be able to play Rebellion again, and it is one of my all-time favorite games. Thanks for making this gem available, and for giving a whole new generation a chance to try out one of the best Star Wars games of all time!

BrandeX drop d3drm.dll (which no longer ships with directx installers) in to the game directory, and it works perfectly on Win 7 X64 with no compatibility needed. Probably then Win 8 also.

Myndsync I still remember playing this back in high school and would love to be able to get my hands on it once again besides having to go download it off some site i don't trust.
jkyser82 This game is playable on Win7. Not even terribly hard to run, really. It's been harder figuring out how to get the mod program I've used in the past to work with it now :P An absolute must have for the strategic SW gamer. A newer version that also incorporated the tactical portion would be amazing.

danielsli I remember getting so addicted to Rebellion when it came out. This in a DOS BOX would be the best purchase I could make on GOG all year.

CommonCentz This is a great little game. One of the best Star Wars games I played as a child. I had so much fun between this and Tie Fighter. But I returned to play this game a lot over the years. Last time I was able to play it was during my junior year in highschool, around 2006. I lost my copies of it and it stopped running on newer systems. <br /> This is surely a must . Add this game please.

marcwason Yes please. I still have mine, but: <br /> 1) It's 16bit so my 64bit OS won't let me load it <br /> 2) If I run it in a VM it crashes because my videocard is too powerful. <br /> I imagine it would take a significant overhaul.

GogekSteele Played this game for hours and loved it, despite the ropey space combat. <br /> It's quite in depth and obtains a wealth of characters, troops, ships, buildings & research options. <br /> <br /> I remember loading up a cheap corvette with all my prisoners and hyperspacing repeatedly from one side of the galaxy to the other so they'd never escape, hehe <br /> <br /> Come on GoG! :-)

Philadeos I understand why GoG can't spell out what's in the pipeline for release (if problems arise, they'd be seen as 'breaking a promise'), but with the Disney interactive deal, this HAS to be one of them I would assume. :)
