Trumble I love Star Trek Starfleet Academy. I would be great to play it on modern systems without problems. i would buy it again. :-D
sucram65 I had just been thinking about the STSF Academy and Klingon Academy games and found that they are both free to download at http://www.old-games.com/download/6613/star-trek-klingon-academy. Also at https://archive.org/details/Star_Trek_-_Starfleet_Academy_1997_Interplay. I'm going to download them both to try them out. Apparently Klingon Academy runs without too many issues on modern systems.
trekker30952 I have over 30 of these star trek games and all of them I had played almost right after I bought them, It is very sad that these games of Star Trek were not- kept up with updates and patches as the windows had increased in versions. I miss playing the lot. Long time over 30 years trekker here.

craig.knapp1 ST SFA is one of those games that needs to be updated as it does not easily work with Win7, actually, I think it had trouble with WinXP.
Sim00 Strategic Command is the 8 level demo of Starfleet Academy.

monsterfurby I absolutely loved Starfleet Academy and would really enjoy playing it again. Too bad the game does not like the newer Windows versions, let along 64 bit systems.

RaginRondo This game was so much fun. I remember being so excited to find out there was a true "final" mission that concluded the overarching storyline from the entire game. It wasn't overly hard or ridiculously difficult. The soundtrack was excellent, and I thought the story parts in between missions were fun. The novelization that came with the boxed game was pretty bad, IIRC, but the game itself was good. I mean, you had Kirk, Sulu and Chekov, how could you go wrong? And who among us didn't try to destroy the Starbases you'd always start missions in front of just for fun? ;)
LazarusOwenhart This game is indescribably good. If Bridge Commander was even a tenth of what this game was I'd be playing it right now.
havord86 I have all 6 original CD's but I can just about get this game to work. However it crashes to desktop plenty of times :(.
craig.knapp1 I posted a comment about Star Trek New Worlds in this game area incorrectly...sorry. Starfleet Acaemy was of course a great Space Sim, but the starfield "backgrounds" never worked well with anything newer than WinXP. Would love to see its graphics updated for newer Operating Systems.
craig.knapp1 A beautiful to look at game, a cross between Starcraft and Star Trek, never worked well with anything newer than XP and XP was tricky.
