For a 1985 DOS game it is loads of fun. I recall especially the thrill of advancing in rank and earning higher and higher awards/medals as my speed and skill improved. Campaigns increase in difficulty as you progress. Manage ship's power, change shield configuration on the fly, tactically employ phasers vs. photon torpedoes. Destroy - and also disable, board, and capture - enemy Krellan vessels as well as cat-and-mouse hunting of cloaked Zaldron vessels. Highly Recommended! Wasted many hours on it back in the 80's. For a game with no graphics, made up of just lines and text it was an action Star Trek simulation game. Completely ripped off/extrapolated what commanding a starship in that universe could be like. Loved the game. Pretty much the [i]computer game[/i] predecessor of Star Trek: Starfleet Command.
