tfishell en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Speedy_Eggbert is essentially an indie platformer from European developer EPSITEC, released in 1998. In the US, eGames had the distribution rights (I guess), and they renamed the character to Eggbert. Unfortunately, they're not selling it anymore. (Speedy Eggbert 2 is available there for 20 bucks, so unfortunately we probably won't get it here.) Rather unknown, but personally I loved the charming, colorful character of Eggbert, and the scenery and simplistic gameplay; people I showed it to did also. A big plus for the game is the level editor, which lets you create your own levels and share them (under C:/User, in WinXP) as .xch files. Please avoid selling this for more than 5.99, and include the soundtrack as a bonus (it's got some nice techno[?] music).

Rednev444 I used to play this game for hours back in the day. I still have the original CD that it came on, but I can't get it to install on my machine. I think its too old. I hope it can be re released for modern PCs.

tfishell Yeah, eGames could come across as shifty, but I found this game brilliant.
dnovraD I recall this and a few other spyware infested disks being pushed out by eGames, and admittedly, this is the one I recall most.
