Sinistar Unleashed is a remake of the Williams arcade hit Sinistar from the arcade houses in 1982. Unfortuantely, THQ, abandoned support of the game after Windows ME and it hasn't been seen working since. I know the game runs in Windows 7 and Windows 8 64bit versions I spent countless hours figuring out how the game installs and using Hyper V I installed it in a virtual XP environment running Windows XP 32bit. After the game installation was created I repackaged it with the missing files from the CD and moved it via USB stick (USB redirector) back to Windows 8 Pro 64 bit. The great news is it works! All the eye candy is just as I remembered. It's not bad for a game from 1998 and its a lot of fun as a remade arcade hit. I may see if it can be modded to have the textures improved but for it's time its spectacularly done. All we need now is GOG.com to get permission from THQ to resale this great classic arcade remake hit. If they need it I'll be able to hand over my repacked directory of it so they can put their magic on it to get rid of the DRM in the game. It still requires you to mount the ISO image. And yes I have the original CD of Sinistar Unleashed with THQ's stamp on it. Please help support the re-release of an icon and fun game to play!
