SamoGonki is an old Russian interplanetary racing/action game. Racers can damage each other, place obstacles and fly in short bursts on fully navigable spherical maps. There are also boss fights...

The game utilizes cartoonish visual style and is supplied with a manual that describes in meticulous detail wild and imaginative universe of the game. It was released to western market but I'm not aware of any English version available at torrents. It's a gem worth discovering.

The open-source version of this game was first launched on GitHub in October 2021.

And the good news is this is getting a digital rerelease on Steam this month of May 2024. It will support English and three other languages.

I bought the CD of this game looong ago and played it a lot. But I cannot make it start on Windows 10 due to some 3D errors. Did anyone find a way to make it run on Windows 10?

A game unique in it's genre. Racing's a racing, sure, ain't nobody's surprised with that, but this game features a turn-based mode. Yes, I know exactly what turn-based means. No, I ain't high. This game has it. Both consecutive (XCOMs and alike) and parallel (Frozen Synapse).
Now where have you seen that last time you played a racing game?
