Stay tuned...
I've wanted this game ever since it was first released on Steam but have been holding out for GoG... this game as well as many more. Probably my mistake, should have bought it on day 1 on steam which would have helped the creator. Get tired on buying on steam and the later on GoG. Would prefer everything in one library.
GOG turned it down.
Any news on it?
Hey KnightShadePrime I just call it like I see. The ROA Kickstarter came after it was already on Steam for half a year. The dev got greedy and decided to try and convince all the people who bought the box once to buy it a second time. First reward, only 4 DIGITAL copies sold! FOUR. The rest of the 69 total backers were for a boxed copy. GOG sells DIGITAL games, not physical games. Selling only 500 copies of a game the first year on Steam (by the devs own admission) is pretty much a failure by any game standard. You can get your friends to fake the GOG community wishlist numbers and shill in the comments all you want, but you can't fake this. GOG isn't stupid.
The comment from vorpalwiz here is 100% incorrect.
There were 73 backers for the SECOND PRINTING so far.
The comment from vorpalwiz here is 100% incorrect.
Please add Realms of Antiquity to GOG, it's right up there with Nox (which is on GOG already) A newly crafted classic 8 bit game that pushes the limits of the TI-99/4A platform, many many hours of enjoyment and challenge for any classic RPG fan.
RoA needs to be on GOG period!
vorpalwiz is a troll i'm surprised this dev took the precious time to reply such foolish comment, shows how much the dev cares about the product. And this game should be on gog it's awesome!
The Kickstarter was to sell additional collector's editions, in a 2nd run of printing. The game has sold over 500 copies on Steam, and before that, around 200 copies on Arcadeshopper.com.
700+ votes? yeah right, this wishlist is so fake. This game only managed to sell 4 digital copies on Kickstarter. GOG isn't stupid.

Realms of Antiquity has too much thought and soul put into it for the game to be refused a spot on the GOG store. Please allow this modern classic a chance to shine much like Nox Archaist and other indie games.
I want it in my GOG collection near Nox Archaist. Please, keep supporting retro games.
Do it - its amazing! It should belong into the GOG Store.
I want this, GOG. Stop neglecting old school style games, please.
Yeah would be good to see it added.
I really hope to see this on here. The game is fantastic fun to play, and really fits the vibe of why I first starting buying things on GoG.
Considering the recent addition of Nox Archaist to the catalogue (with the Phantasie series and SKALD: Against the Black Priory to follow in the hopefully not too distant future) GoG doesn't really have an excuse to not (try to) get Realms of Antiquity on here.
Realms of Antiquity: The Shattered Crown, RoA in short, is a classically inspired role playing experience with an Ultima like top-down iconographic UI. RoA sports a diverse, extensive, and dynamic game world populated by numerous concisely and well characterized NPCs, with excellent world building and writing, thrilling tactical combat, and countless quests to solve, places to explore and challenges to overcome. In addition, it is a technical marvel, given that this game was developed for, and runs in an emulator of, the TI99/4A home computer released in 1981. Every pixel in RoA oozes Adam Haase's, the single author's, love for classic RPGs like Ultima, Might & Magic, etc.
In short, RoA, Adam Haase's magnum opus answers the question what would happen if you'd implement a classic RPG using modern day game design sensibilities on ancient hardware. The answer is everything an avid role playing and retro gamer could have ever asked for.
If ever I have seen a modern game destined for GOG, then it is this.
A very enjoyable game. I don't own the original hardware, but the PC-version (comes bundled with an emulator) works flawlessly. A real pleasure, full of adventure, diverse landscapes, many cities and villages, deep forests, high mountains, tropical islands, icy plains, and much more to explore. I'm playing it for weeks now and it's really stuffed with content. What Adam Haase created here as a one-man-army is simply incredible and deserves much more publicity. I'm so crazy for this game I even preordered the CE in disk-format (even though I don't own the hardware!).
