Cbalest Hello! I followed the procedure recommended by Svipur, the songs were ok, but without sound effects. The box that enables it in the game settings is inactive and unchecked. Could anyone give me some help? Thanks!

Svipur An easier way to run the PC version with CD audio and everything is via DxWnd. It's still a bit of a hassle (compared to just emulating the Sega CD version), but shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes. retroJosh91 It’s now more a pipe-dream then reality. If the greedy scum of the earth know as 'Activision/Blizzard' actually cared about the Pitfall IP, we would have remastered version or playable on modern systems years ago. Sadly the only way to play this classic in its original Windows 95 glory is by PCem emulator (aka virtual machine) that you can install win 95 or 98 on it, the game works flawlessly on it but there's a catch, 1. the setup can take few hours, 2. make sure your PC have a very fast/powerful CPU, since it's an emulator that literally works like an old computer with many components unlike dosbox or win3x, PCem is a bigger program that require a lot of memory, otherwise you will noticed some slow-downs. I took me 2-3 hours just to set it up and I noticed some slow down at first. There’s many tutorials how to set it up properly. When its working the way it should ‘Pitfall - The Mayan Adventure’ works flawlessly on it. Otherwise just emulate the Sega CD version (which is much easier to setup) on PC.

LPockets I've been wanting to play this game again and collect all of the letters, or even do a speed run, but the game doesn't work on newer PC's. I would really love there to be a working version of this game as it was back on Windows 95. This is the best version of the game and I would like to see it make a comeback.
Boogle My copy works great on Windows 7, including sound effects. Just have to do a bit of tweaking.

tonebacas this was one of the first few games i played back when i got my Pentium III (along with Earthworm Jim 1). sadly i've lost my copy, but over the years i never forgot this amazing game. it would be great if GOG could bring this classic platformer so i can finally get all the PITFALL letters that are spread through the levels :P
RetroJaro I remember a version of Pitfall for windows that had the cd music but without the graphical limitations of the sega cd. It would be great to get this version.
