I would like to see this as an DLC to X-Com. The price could be shared with the devs of OpenXCom... (I support this idea: www.gog.com/wishlist/games/open_source_games_with_donate_option)

Now X-COM is on GOG, it should not be a problem to bundle them together, so they can sell the game on more platforms (Linux, Mac)

This requires the original X-Com: UFO Defense to work, which GOG doesn't sell at the time of this comment. I can perhaps see it bundled as an extra with UFO Defense, but outside of that, I'm not sure it'll work.
