TheSteelRodent I remember having lots of fun with this game (still have the DVD somewhere), but the current license holder is the repeatedly bankrupt Atari and they can't just hand a Monopoly game over to GoG without getting authorization/license from Hasbro as well. So I think if we want this game on GoG, we will have to nag Hasbro about it moreso than GoG.
ayeseeb8 Probably licensing issue. Another possibility is that the game has too many compatibility issues. I personally installed a Windows 98 VM to get it working properly.

mrpenguinb The game crashes because there is a missing audio codec. Specifically it requires the Windows Media Source Filter. In order to get it working in Windows Vista and later, you need to register some .DLL's. You can find more information about it here: mcdebugrndmstuff.blogspot.com

mrpenguinb Running this game on Windows Vista+ and above would be amazing with music!! I have tried for many hours to get this game working again with music.... no success but it seems that the application gives out a access violation error (0x000005) in Event Viewer. Monopoly Tycoon is part of my childhood and I will never forget the impact that it left on me as a kid. Please bring this game back!

DraekkarBludhart This is a fantastic enhancement to the original Monopoly game that is largely lost in the crowd of blockbuster games. Anyone who had this game back in the day can attest to how much fun it was to play Monopoly with friends this way. Now, if you cannot scrounge up your disc or have somehow lost it, the only recourse to replacing it is to go the route of torrents and for some reason, the majority of torrents available for this game are particularly malicious traps.
It would be amazing to have GOG bring this one into the fold.
kevert Excellent game, will only work on Windows 7 in its current guise, with the sound turned off. If you could make a '7' compatible fully functioning Monopoly Tycoon available it would really make my day!

johndango Would require a lot of work. Any Vista or higher machines have to play the game with the audio drivers turned off in order to play. That said. I love it and I play the game with my wife every other month or so.
ScreamingFalcon This game is REALLY good on a tablet system. Which is what I played it on for WinXP. However, I too cannot get it to run even on a Vista machine.

gl1978 I remeber this as being surprisingly fun and deep (considering the monopoly link). In fact, ignore the monopoly link, there's very little about it that has anything to do with the board game, it's just a great fun city builder.
