Incubuspawn This is a game that cannot be played on windows 10 due to disabled dvd/cd security checks being disabled. We need this on GOG just to make them playable again! Seems like EA is reluctant to give us work arounds.
neosapian Yes! would definitey be one in whch GOG could live up to its name! EA is a fickle lot though. I am surprised they even released Dragon Age 1! even if they no longer support it and instead focus on some "reboot" crap. I would LOVE to see ANY LoTR game released here!

Bearhug_at I am sure the with distance largest problem for getting those amazing games back on GOG is the whole hick-hack over the licenses with 'Middle-earth Enterprises'.
But I have modest hopes that after the two trilogies of Jackson are over but with the new Amazon series project that maaaaybe 'Middle-earth Enterprises' might show some insight despite their history of being extremely difficult with their licenses.
Please GOG, try to convince them to cooperate with you for the sake of computer game history from times when EA still made some good games.
JunVahlok This would be great!!! I love these games. I have them on CD, but I don't even have a CD drive in my new laptop and I lost the CD key for RotWK a long time ago.
andreasaspenberg2 not being sold by EA is a good argument. the second game is not being sold on xbox live either. the biggest issue is actually new line cinema which might still own the rights to the movies. i support the idea however but, i know the difficulties with getting there.

combatwulf I have had to resort to CD key cracks to get my old version to work on Windows 7. Hope GOG can lock down the rights for this!
Xyrone i have both of the games plus the expansion but cant play them because my discreader has an issue with the copyright thingy on the disc i tried it several times even with torrents and my keys but couldnt start it always saying u dont have the right disc even if its in the discreader please guys try something much love from germany do ur best :D

lbgsloan These games were fun. Poorly balanced, but fun and had good production values. They're virtually impossible to find anymore, you can't even buy them from EA.

Czembro About a year ago I emailed Middle Earth Enterprises (owners of rights to LOTR and Hobbit), asking if there is any way to publish BFME games once more. This was their response:
"Thank you for expressing an interest in The Battle for Middle-earth and The Battle for Middle-earth II. Many others have also contacted us with a similar enthusiasm for these games. While we can make no promises, I do want to assure you that you that your message has been received and options are being explored."
Please GOG, you are our only hope!

The hard copies getting less and the price is high. A digital DRM-free version could save this gem before it gets lost!
