The original Soul Reaver was amazing back on my PS1 unfortunately I was never able to pick up the 2nd game. If it is released on GOG its an instant buy for me and with any hope it will be just as good as the first

I didn't play the first one because of the outdated controls and the technical problems, but this one is OMG. I really like the hack and slash games(not diablo-like), and the Zelda-like games. So I know a lot of games of these genres. This game has the best story of all hack and slash games that I have ever played, cleaver puzzles and a fair combat(this is a pre-devil may cry game, don't expect too much about the combat).

That's a great game. It even beats the Dreamcast version of soul reaver 1.

The best entry in this great series. I wouldn't hesitate to say the story is as good as Planescape Torment. And one of the best voice acting in games ever. And facial animations blew me away at the time. The series need their place here, although i own them all.
