Gauntlet and Gauntlet 2 (Arcade) would be amazing. The rest of the series is terrible. The clones of these games never once captured the magic of the arcade, not even the Diablo clone from 2014.

I hope any would-be dev would seriously look into Gauntlet and check out the pacing and mechanics that are still unbeaten today, for this style of game.

No food removal either. That was only put in the arcades to make money. The Amiga version didn't have food removal and that rocked.

Aw yeah Gauntlet II arcade was the best, would love a re-release
