The dev stated in 2022 they would like to bring the game here, but it's GOG's approval process that prevents them: steamcommunity.com/app/595500/discussions/0/3427823723510158950/#c3427823723518336829

The Steam version of FP2 appears to be DRM free, at least at the moment (V. 1.0.0r), copied it to an older PC that doesn't even have Steam and ran it, seems to work fine. Doesn't appear to need any obvious redists (Steam didn't seem to download any into the Steamworks Shared folder) Feel free to back up your Steam copy while we wait for a GoG release.

It will be so coool to have Freedom Planet 2 on GoG, my laptop can't handle somes games while Steam in running on the background and we can't close it since the game will not work properly because of that.

I can wait for a GoG Release(if it happens) after the Initial Release
