Vainamoinen Est. release: Jan 31st, 2017 (20th anniversary of FFVII), with an as of yet undetermined period of PS4 exclusivity.
Announced at E3 2015 to the loudest cheers of the fans, the FFVII remake is sure to fit into SquareEnix's unfortunate track record of PC Steam exclusivity. Chances for a GOG release are buh-leak.
Yet, heck, who is to say whether a 100,000 votes on the GOG wishlist would not bring SQE to think again? ;)
When Final Fantasy VII released in 1997, it was Squaresoft's breakout from the confines of Nintendo exclusivity. There's another breakout in order, I'll say.
cloud995 Not only should the remakes come to GOG, but the original FF7 PC should come to GOG. I still have my original CD's when I bought the game from best buy back in 1997 or 1998 but due to being a stupid teenager, I did not treat the discs as well as I should have.

GeneralKosi I also logged in and saw FF7 Remake in recently played. I was so excited. Something to play until C.Punk 2077s release. Searched everywhere googled everything. Oh well.
SoundSilent I logged into the GOG Galaxy client today and saw that Final Fantasy VII Remake was in the Recently Played By Others list and it got my hopes up that the PC version was already out. I am guessing that it wasn't played on PC and the PC version is still not going to be released until the first half of next year.
Cata_Meowington I feel that if given the option of purchasing this game through GOG would definatly get a lot of people coming here instead of buying it elsewhere so quite a bit of money will run through GOG
