Dungeon Siege
Here we are February 2018 6 years after this thread was started and our pleas for Dungeon Siege on GOG has gone nowhere. I finally decided to play it on Steam. Thanks to this thread I also found out that you can play Ultima V and VI remakes using the DS engine with this game as well. 3 games for the price of one sounds like a good deal to me. Hopefully I can make it work on Windows 10.
getting crazy trying to run my old original version under Windows 8.1 and I'm so eager to play the "Lazarus"-mod. Please GOG, have mercy :-)
I loved the game back in the day. Would have bought it on Steam, were it not for the technical issues that Valve doesn't give a shit about. Will buy it as soon as it comes to GOG.
Хочется копьё души поюзать =) С локализацией на русском языке.
I actually owned Dungeon Siege I a long time ago and truly enjoyed it. Although I cant find my cd to install it I'd love to play the entire series. I was just reminded today of this game by a 'Humble******' email and went to check it purchasing it(the collection) until I saw it was a 'STEAM' title.

I'd rather buy it from GOG any day. I will probably purchase it nonetheless and re-purchase it if and when GOG offers it - just to support 'Team GOG'!!!
yes.
Never played the game, but I would love to try it if it was on here. Looks really sick.
I also would love to see dungeon siege and its expansion on GOG. Guaranteed purchase for me, especially since steams version is just... disappointing.
отличная игра! и хочется и колется
I loved this game when I was in middle school. It's a shame the Steam version is super lazy and has issues on modern PCs. I think it's ripe for the GOG treatment to get it working consistently. Also, it'd be nice if there were a digital version of the game that had Legends of Arrana with it.

Please GOG save us, we need this game!
If you google "Steam LOA Dungeon Siege Fix" there is a patch that adds the expansion to the steam version.
I NEED THIS GAME TO SURVIVE!!! D:
Steam version doesn't include expansion. Hope to see such a great hack'n'slash complete on GOG.
great game for mods, chris taylor did a good job back in the days :)
Steam sells DS, DS2 and DS3 standard versions in bundle for 5 dollars...
As for the DLCs only the Treasures of Sun for the third is available.
I miss Arana... Broken World is also missing.
GOG pls... you got 5k+ votes since 2012
why you haven't take our money and gave us this game is beyond me.
Leave it to Steam to royally screw up each and every old game they try to sell in their store. It seems only GoG releases have a shot at being playable on modern systems without any drawbacks.
Back in the day, I loved to play the demo for Dungeon Siege over and over. It'd be great if I could finally play through the full game.
I need Dungeon Siege 1 + 2 not the Steam versions.
French Version = buy !
The amount of time I have spent on Dungeon Siege 1 (with expansion pack) are immeasurable. I would buy that here instantly. I'd even make a few extra GOG accounts, just to give to friends with a purchased copy of the game.
More money would be made with DS 1 and 2 releasing here, than ever could have been made making 3.
The hours i spent with Dungeon Siege...this game has a fantastic atmosphere, loved it. Would be great seeing it on GoG!
Instant buy for dungeon Siege 1 and 2 on GOG
Just finished the Steam version... First thought that game had tilted somehow, but checking comments revealed sad truth. This game definitely deserves better.
This game is great and steams version is not so great. Would definitely pay for a soundtrack as well.
INSTA BUY! :)
I saw this on Ross' Game Dungeon and would really like to play it, except the Steam version is trash from my understanding. GoG, you're the hero Dungeon Siege needs right now.
I know it probably wont show up on GOG, which is too bad. But what issues are you guys having running it on modern OS? I have the original discs and everything works fine...You edit the .ini for custom resolutions, the menus stay the same, but the game itself will run at whatever you type in...Cant remember if direct IP connect works, but I know LAN works also....Me and my friends still play this. I'm running Windows 10, but I've played it on 8, 7, and even Vista...
Don't expect this to come to GOG. It's owned by MS. What other MS titles do you see here? *crickets*
Runs perfectly through wine installed Steam, using Play On Linux. Kind of ridiculous, but it's true. Ubuntu 15.04. No modern resolutions though, which is sad.
Its such a shame this game is beginning to be unsupported on modern OS's, this needs to be a gog game at this point, instant buy for me for either 1 or 2
Have this on steam but can't get it to work on my modern system. If this was featured on GOG I would instantly buy it again.
Old school game, great for LANs.
This is an instant-buy, without any questions prior.
Because Steam doesn't include the expansions, I would buy if GOG have it.
would be pleased and buy instantly!^^
was my first multiplayer ARPG on Lan.
The Deluxe Editions of all the Dungeon Siege games would be a most welcome addition to GOG's catalogue. Considering there are already a number of Square-Enix games on GOG, I'm hoping this is doable.
I've spent the past six hours trying to get this game to work on my Win 7 64bit machine. I'm using original install discs. I've even installed it on a Win XP SP2 VMWare and it's not working. If GOG did this, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Actually Square Enix is the new publisher; I think the problem is convincing them to bother bringing the game here.
This would be awesome, but microsoft. So, yeah...
DS was just nice hack and slash but Ultima V and VI remakes make Dungeon Siege worth more than every penny spend on that game.Even though I own CD version, i'd buy another one here at GoG.
I'm more interested in the mods that use Dungeon Siege than the game itself. Quite a few I'd like to play if the game were available here.
Great game, spent many anhour over this, as did the missus who finished it before me lol. Was a prequel in a way to the way you level up on skyrim. The more you did it the better you were if i remember. PLease get it sorted GOG!
It's weird, but I never got into the game as deeply as I thought I would. It was well-made and I enjoyed it, but after a while my interest just kinda fizzled out. I guess the story wasn't that gripping, and it started to feel like a grind. After battling through yet another horde of those croaking fish swarming out of a lake, I didn't feel like playing anymore.
I don't know if this would help get the Dungeon Siege games on GOG, but the game's developers, Gas Powered Games, was recently bought up by Wargaming. So if Gas Powered Games said "No" in the past, maybe Wargaming will say"Yes" now. Here's a link to the press release about the purchase: http://worldoftanks.com/en/news/20/wargaming-acquires-gas-powered-games/
I don´t still understand why Square Enix decide to take out multiplayer in Steam versions - becuase I finish original Dungeon Siege on Windows 7 (64bit!) over LAN without no problem. For me, it is mystery why they decide to make extra effort to ditch out whole multiplayer and not just remove one option - play over MSN servers and keep everything others. Lucky there is still versions on internet, which have everything.
I loved this game and found it did have re-play value. It was and is viewed by many as being a pure hack 'n slash game - you don't have the character interaction that exists in other party games. However, at the time of it's release this did push boundaries in relation to it's graphics. In terms of bang for buck this game gives hours of game play and I found it an involving, enjoyable game. I'd buy it if it was available.
