It's an Android game, also ported to Steam but it doesn't include land battles, though the naval battles are amazing. <br /> <br /> There are two by the same devs <br /> <br /> The Pirate: Caribbean Hunt <br /> The Pirate: Plague of the Dead <br /> <br /> The second one is better of course. <br /> <br /> Not exactly the same game but it definitely scratches the itch and it's just as addictive.

HonourShogun I remember playing this when it first came out, buggy, crashed a lot and yet, one of the best pirate games I have ever played. Invading a town felt dangerous, if you misjudged you would fail. Fighting the wrong ships could truly ruin you. If you didn't keep the crew happy, you might end up on the bottom of the sea. Please bring it back.

Streamdancer Are we still wishing for Cutthroats? AC Black Flag is the closest thing I can find, but it's still too... hands-on-y.... Cutthroats is still the best pirate-themed game I've played.
TeaCharmer Gangsters: Organized Crime was one of the earliest games on gog and it's made by Hothouse Creations too. I don't understand why can't we get Cutthroats as well :'C
TeaCharmer Every time they add something to their library (like today) I hope they add this game too. One can only wish :(
Webrv Still hoping too, think the problem its so hard to get it actually working on never systems and even with dxwnd it sometimes only work once, then the game would need a version8 patch because even v7 still had bugs like some governors having the wrong flag. eg. english town but inside spanish governor or so. So the problem is gog will get so many complaints and refund request from most purchases that it wont be worth it for them.
Silentgerm i would love to see this game on gog it is a classic and id love to see it kept the same but updated visually kinda like diablo 2 id also love to see sim copter on here as well

TeaCharmer Would be really nice to be able to play this one again. It had some interesting mechanics, and even in the recent resurgence of pirate-themed games, most of them are not that complex and we could really use some of that :'P

damzen87 this much needed classic is needed. The genre is lacking this at the moment which this game's mechanics brought in at the time. Great sounds and immersion at the time.

Meeizter its been 7 years ago i post my first comment on gog and it was on this game, i have been looking here almost 1 time/month for updates/comments and it still no release yet, i guess i will never see a release for cutthroats, but i still have some hope left. please gog! :)
