Messiah12 Command & Conquer: Red Alert is a real-time strategy computer game of the Command & Conquer franchise, produced by Westwood Studios and released by Virgin Interactive in 1996. The second game to bear the "C&C" title, Red Alert is the prequel to the original Command & Conquer of 1995, and takes place in the alternate early history of Command & Conquer when Allied Forces battle an aggressive Soviet Union for control over the European mainland. It was initially available for PC (MS-DOS & Windows 95 versions included in one package), and was subsequently ported to PlayStation. The PlayStation version was also re-released as a download on the PlayStation Network for PSP and PS3. For different reasons many games will never be published in the gog store - fuck_DRM policy (or at least gog trying to pretend to be a DRM-free store), absurd terms of cooperation that gog is pushing, support policy that is completely frustrating and disappointing, and of course non-professional personnel.

GOG_SCX Is there a chance to get Red Allert on GOG? There is a remastered version now availlable and you can get it on Steam.
VaporSnep Game is freeware, and there is an open source implimentation for most of the old red alert type westwood games via OpenRA
Plok_HR 1) The game is freeware. It's not needed here. Get the fan-updated version.
2) C&C won't be coming on GOG in the foreseeable future.

It was made free as a Red Alert 3 promotion. Play the DOS version, so that you can avoid some nasty compatibility problems. Personally, I'd love to see them on GOG as well, but I just wanted to make sure you were aware of that.
They're also available on Origin as part of the C&C Ultimate Collection, which includes Generals and RA2.
