krashd Best dungeon crawler ever. Unlikely we will ever see it released for PC though unless Raven do what Blizzard and Cinemaware did for some of their Amiga titles and wrap the rom and the emulator in an executable. Do Raven still exist?

Robert_Weighill I still have a boxed set of the Amiga Black Crypt. It is still one of the best dungeon crawlers i ever played. The medusa boss still still gives me the shivers!
deadlyjim666 I'd love this game to be brought to GOG more than any other, incredible depth, exploration and such a challenge, most games today still can't come close to replicating a game like this, in my humble opinion this still blows games like the Grimrock series out of the water. Fingers crossed.

psadler Oh God I remember this game back in the day. It was one of the few Amiga games that I still play to this day. It was the best dungeon crawler methinks.

pezface This is a near second to Dungeon Master for real-time grid-based dungeon crawlers. Super game... I don't know why I'm voting for it, as no PC version existed, there was only an Amiga version. But hey, great game!
er005488 One of my favourites from Amiga, one of most atmospheric crawlers! Sound of closing doors haunts me to this day :) . If you really need to play full game, try this emulator:

WarlockLord As a fan of early-era Raven Software (and particularly their fantasy games), I would really like to have a legitimate source to buy this one without having to invest in a whole Amiga system. Sadly it seems none of Raven's stuff has been able to come here yet.
SoanoS Oh, yes please. It was a very challenging dungeon crawler game, almost as good as the legendary Dungeon Master and Chaos Strikes Back.
Jalister An Amiga Forever Bundle sounds like a great idea. I'd even settle for a Dungeon Crawler Classic Bundle with Black Crypt, Dungeon Master, Chaos Strikes Back, Eye of the Beholder 1 & 2, Knightmare, etc.
zgwortz It would need to be the Amiga version. That version not only had the best graphics for the game, but the audio was superb, using stereo effects to kind of simulate 3d sound. I remember being scared out of my seat when a monster snuck up behind me and screamed as it attacked.
Geraldine @ jalister Yes you are correct, only a demo was ever released for the PC. :( The only way to run it these days on a PC is either (using easy to get disk images) via STEEM (an Atari ST emulator) or Win UAE and Amiga Forever of the Amiga version. Black Crypt was one of the best dungeon crawlers ever made, certainly one of my favourites :) Kind of hoping games such as this might convince GOG to put together an Amiga Forever bundle with 100s (if not 1000s) of classic games along with it! :D
Jalister I'd love to have it also, but someone needs to persuade Raven Software to finish porting it to Windows. As far as I know, only a two level demo was ported over.
