I would love to buy a copy of Battlefield 2 Complete Collection for friends if it was on here; though reality I wish Battlefield 2 Complete Edition was back on steam; with BF2Hub client you can play online again

I just want it available on Steam because as many modern laptop don't have a DVD-ROM drive anymore I'm forced to Pirate it I would like it to be convenient for me to install it instead of resorting to that.

While it is still listed on Steam as of this moment, Battlefield 2: Complete Collection is currently unavailable for purchase from Steam. It is also unavailable from Origin. Presumably this is because GameSpy was shut down, which Battlefield 2 used for online multiplayer functionality. While Battlefield 2 is still available for purchase from GamersGate, who knows how long that will last.

GOG would be providing a service by selling Battlefield 2. BF2 Battlelog could be used in lieu of GameSpy.

Just uninstall Steam and honour the DRM-freeness on GOG.
