Bastion, GNU/Linux version completed
Hi everyone! Michael from Supergiant Games here. I wanted to let you all know that the Linux version of Bastion is now available for your enjoyment on GOG! We've been working on this for some time, and we're excited to finally provide this version to you. Feel free to reach out to me at info@supergiantgames.com if you run into any issues. Enjoy!
plz respond
well here is my email response.

I emailed the developer and they offered to give me a Linux standalone installer if I buy the GOG version... Why is it not just on GOG?
Stuff like this always makes me wonder why it is so. Steam has the Linux version, why not GOG? Make the Linux version available and you can have my money. Wait too long and Steam gets my money. It's that simple.
I almost bought it..but then I saw Tux was missing.
I'll wait.
I already own this on Humble Bundle and Steam, but would buy it again here to support GoG if only a Linux version was added. Many games on here don't have Linux ports available, but as they were added to GoG before Linux support I can understand that. Bastion, however, was added after Linux support and thus should have a port available from day one.
If there are other issues surrounding this (such as legal issues, or the port not being considered stable enough) it would be nice to hear them; at the the moment it just looks like Linux users are being left out for no reason. GoG has always stood against DRM and Linux seems to be the spiritual heart of the resistance.
GOG, please add the GNU/Linux version so I can throw more money at you already! Leaving us out of a new release when there is already a working port is downright hurtful....
I own a license to the Chrome version, and run Chromium on Linux... but a native Linux version would be far better (especially as that Chromium build is getting old now), and I'd definitely pay for it again.
Will buy this if a GNU/Linux version becomes available on GOG.COM, was sad to see only windows and mac when this game is already multi platform!
Here you can find a forum entry discussing the missing Linux version: www.gog.com/forum/bastion/linux_version
Instavote, especially since I decided to buy the game anyway.
