ObiKKa The bracketed year in the header above is not correct. This RTS game by Atari & TimeGate was first released in 2004. I think the year 2006 appears to concur with the Collector's Edition retail pack that was released in that year. The edition included a digital strategy guide file in the Play Disc, one of the two discs in that pack. You can see that on some listings on eBay.

yountmg1 The Ataris version by Timegate does not have a WWII mode to mimic the Hasbro Version. The WWII mode turns it into a tun based game that is nothing like the Hasbro Version. I win every battle in RTS no matter how bad the odds are stacked against me. The AI is not able to handle a rapid infantry counter attack especially if its developing armor divisions while I am blowing them up their base. Hasbro uses dice and not a RTS system. I can let the battle happen automatically but the odds system seems to be different and even the technology bonuses are handled differently.
yountmg1 I was wondering why GOG did not offer it? I pulled out my old copy "Axis & Allies 1998" by Habros and it worked just fine on Window 10, except the dice animations happen instantly (faster than the eyeball can see. However the game does have bugs, but I do have all the patches. What is the problem, Hasbro?
The Atari version"Axis & Allies" 2004 does not have a switch to mimic this game, although it does work on Windows 10 with patches applied.
The board game now being sold has modification done to the board and even it is no the original.
Steam has a "Axis & Allies" coming out, but its board appears to be different also.
tempwall A special WWII RTS game, really "strategy" game, but a soldier dance in the middle of warfare. Waiting for it for more than 10 years.
Esseth Seriously, there is actually no other turn based Axis and Allies game. I was looking assuming it was available somewhere or a new version but nope. Just an old broken abandonware. Would happily buy it.

Chiteki An marvelous game, created using the Kohan II engine, while cleverly utilizing the customizable squad composition of armies from the original to create believable WW2 warfare gameplay, with rifles and artillery instead of swords and sourcery. Would be a most wecome addition to my GOG collection!
