TaighoSlowianin As the developers point out, Alkahest is inspired by 3 games: Dishonored, Dark Messiah of Might and Magic, and Kingdom Come Deliverance. The combat (like in Dark Messiah) is to be physics-based and we will have the ability to perform many attacks (whose animations will probably depend on the direction of movement) to lift and throw objects (even empty vials with potions) etc. We are to have a semi-open world (probably based on separate hubs) without unnecessary, non-contributing activities (e.g. shooting 100 pigeons in GTA IV). We are also to have the possibility of different approaches to a given situation: frontal attack or stealth (according to the developers, neither is supposed to be better than the other). Personally, I am very interested in this title, as I miss games like Dark Messiah of Might and Magic. There hasn't been a game based on a multitude of physics-related possibilities, a meaty melee combat system, and the ability to approach fights differently in a long time (in my opinion). On top of that, there are really nice graphics, realistic but not devoid of color (I have the impression that the creators took inspiration for the graphic style from Kingdom Come). It has real potential to be a very, VERY good game. And that's not just my opinion
There is only a trailer, but I think it would be worth adding Alkahest to the wishlist (even before the release date) on GOG.
