tiagombp My son the other day asked me which game I played the most when I was a kid / teen. Civilization 1 and 2 came immediately to mind, but I tried to think about other games, and remembered the sheer amount of time and fun I had with AOE. The game was just in the sweet spot of fun x complexity x "realism" x ease to play. The variety of the missions, the modelling. The map was so realistic and sorta open world, I remember this time I was in a mission in France, and decided to let go of the mission and tried to reach Paris navigating just by using the compass and the map. When I finally saw that polygonal Eiffel Tower it simply blew my mind. Ran out of fuel and crashed some place on the outskirts, but 30 years later I still remember the feeling.

YaGramps As a big fan of Red Baron, I'd love to see what Dynamix went on to achieve with this and Aces of the Pacific. Hopefully GOG can finish what it started with Red Baron

jonjonz The Aces Over series had the absolute best record/playback mission deck and video edit interface. Simple but elegant, you could do things in minutes that would take you hours in various current 3D animation editors and a life time of skill.
Current games that include recorders and editors fall far short of what AOE and AOTP could do.

RoadRanger I agree with Beholder - I have fond memories of playing this back in the day. It was so engrossing and fun.
Beholder This game simply MUST be added. This classic, created by Dynamix in 1993, is still one of the best WW2 Flight Simulators ever created in terms of atmosphere, realism and gameplay. The same goes for "Aces of the Pacific". It should be added as well.

captainjack105 The only thing that could have replaced this game for me was driving and girls. Which they eventually did.
Before that though...I couldn't be stopped in my Focke-Wulf 190A...

theDonik At my parents house, I still have an old 486 computer with this installed. I love to start up that old machine and have a fly around for a bit. This is a great game!
