[OS X] Allow other install locations on system drive

Jnosh Currently only the Applications folder is allowed as the install target on the system drive. While this certainly makes sense as a default, it would be nice to be able to freely chose other locations on the main partition.

konpeki Err... The user SHOULD NOT HAVE to jump through these hoops etc.
konpeki It can be done even easier and without symbolic links by editing the library path in config.json. However that's not the point.
The user should have to jump through these hoops to get the app working the way they want. The app simply shouldn't behave like that.

I even give a workaround.
jsjrodman It's not easily done? What? It already works, they just have an arbitrary limit in place. Let me be clear that this is ONLY the matter of recording and playing back a string, a single pathname.
michalm.mac Choosing different target on a volume is something not easily done with installer package.
joelizzi Seriously, yes. I keep a folder called "Games" in my homedir, and it took me 5 minutes to figure out why I wasn't allowed to select it in the dialog box. This seems to be a rather odd limitation.
Crazypills Definitely this. I can't seem to change the installation folder to something else, and since I'm using a smaller SSD for my OS, I need to be able to change the installation to my massive regular drive.
