GoG Galaxy no longer works on wine, hope the linux client is forthcoming

Due to GoG Galaxy 1.1.8~ and later being compiled with VS2015 and requiring a windows update to run on pre Win10 OSes, suddenly wine and crossover can not run the program :( is their even a ballpark ETA on the native linux version?

I've been able to run almost everything i throw at Wine great lately, not being able to download games easily and conveniently with a downloader/GOG galaxy, makes it far too choresome, and larger downloads constantly fail midway, and 'resume download' attempts don't always work through web browsers...

GoG does not, and will not, ever, support Linux.
I've moved back to Steam, where Linux gaming is, as you call it, "less choresome".
