Don't re-create existing game folders with every update.
If you have them sorted by category, this requires you to move them every single time something updates.
These only need to be created once, on install, or when adding something extra like a DLC, not every time.
Not everybody has one GOG.com folder with everything listed forever below it. I have mine sorted by Genre.

Could not agree more. I have deleted the start menu entrys for WItcher 3 three or four times until now. If you really don't want to give the user the possibility to decide wether he/she wants to have start menu entrys at all, at least dont create them more than once - so I only need to delete them once. I have however given up to wish for a start menu entry in a folder of my choice since this was not even introduced during the GOG downloader phase. Nearly every game has this option but GOG has not - just think about it.
