I bought this on a whim when it came out on GOG and I'm really happy with that decision. Wuppo is one of the most fun games I played this year. The biggest plus Wuppo has over other Metroidvania style games is it's world. It is in the style of a children's coloring book and also has weather effects and a day and night cycle with many of it's inhabitants acting accordingly. The sidequests and puzzles are organically integrated in the world and often there is more than one way to achieve a certain goal. There are also many playful ways to interact with the game world and the creatures living in it without driving the story forward just to add to the immersion. The game really feels like taking part in a living world. The controls are simple and responsive and the later bosses are challenging. The Soundtrack is fitting but sometimes the tracks start and end a bit abruptly. The only slight annoyance with the game for me is the little tooltip that pops up in the upper left corner every time the framerate drops even slightly under 60 fps. All in all I clearly recommend you buy this game!
