Democracy is a fun game to play. For those who are saying it is too easy they are partially right--it is very easy to play as say a conservative country and implement conservative policies. But take a conservative country and try to gradually turn it socialist -- much more challenging and interesting.
This game plays like a free to play mobile or facebook game. On the city map you don't really do anything. It's very nice looking but the graphics are just for show. You click a building with an icon over it. It has an action you can perform. You choose a gangster to perform the action and wait a few minutes. Then it is done. That's it. There's nothing else to the city map. While waiting for my gangsters to do something I almost expected a pop up offering to let my gangster drive a bit faster if I bought $5.00 in "Gangsta Coins". That didn't happen but it felt like it might. There is turn based tactical combat. It's not terrible but again there isn't much to it. The enemies run up to you. You shoot them as they move up. When they get close you punch them. Your gangsters can die but and get upgrades but it didn't seem to matter. One guy was as good as another. I did love the graphics, sounds, and music. The game looks great. It's just sort of boring. If you're into casual/mobile games then I'd say it's probably a 5 star game. You can play a great little casual game without all the annoyances of free to play and micro transactions. But if you're looking for Silent Storm or XCOM with gangsters this isn't it.

SEIV is a great turn based 4X game. The visuals are primitive and the UI takes some getting used to. But once you get the hang of things its a very deep and challenging game. The community mods make it even better. Recommended to any 4X strategy fan.
